One Of Those

OMG, I am totally those moms who forgot to pick up her kid from daycare! The place we take Theo for daycare closes at 7pm. I was talking with a co-worker, talking about Disneyland and his apartment flooding and what not, and next thing I know he's looking at his watch and saying "Sheesh, how late do you guys stay?" I looked at the clock, expecting it to be about 6pm, expecting to reply "Oh about another 30 minutes". But when I looked at the clock it read 6:58pm. "SHIT!!!" was all that came out of my mouth. I had totally lost track of time, and the daycare was like 20 minutes away. Shit. I called the place, no one picked up. Shit, I'll bet their gone for the day. I decided to chance it. I left a message saying I was on my way and booked it there. About halfway the woman who works there called and asked how close I was. I said about 10 minutes and she said she would go ahead and stick around until I got there. Phew! If I didn't like the place I take him before, I definitely do now! I would have been seriously bummed if I'd had to leave Theo there overnight.

PS: Pardon my French.

Oh, poor Theo! :-(

Glad it worked out and sounds like his daycare is a keeper!

Ha ha, we all have these "moments"! No harm done :) Does Theo go to day care every day? I work from home so Bryson's usually home with me, but sometimes I thought maybe we should send him to daycare at least once a week, so he can socialize with other dogs. Do you notice any changes in behavior since he started day care? Just curious :)

Haha, yeah I think they're called senior moments. Man, I'm only 26!

Theo is in daycare everyday right now because of the remodel. We don't want to subject him to the workers, and we don't want to subject the workers to him. Hehe.

But Theo loves it so much that I think we'll stick with it at least once a week. If you find a good place I think it's definitely worth it. Theo comes home pooped and he's definitely more socialized.

There haven't been any major changes. He didn't start lifting his leg to pee or anything (Theo doesn't lift). I think the changes have been subtle, so it's hard to say, especially with his current age. It's hard to tell what's a bad habit and what's just him being a teenager. :p

Hi there :) I chanced upon your blog looking up corgi ones to read. I've read through many of your entries and I would say I've enjoyed reading it loads & Theo is adorable too. It's a blog I'm going to bookmark.

I'm glad things with daycare worked out for you and I hope the renovations end soon too. Looking forward to your new entries! :)

Hi Mag! Thanks for saying hello! I'm so honored to be bookmark-worthy!!! :) I checked out your blog too and Toffee is adorable! How old is he?

I love that youtube video you posted about the Corgi that gets excited during meal time. I'm totally about to post it myself. :)

Hi Julo!

Glad you loved that video :) It kept me laughing away when I first saw it! My friends thought I was mad.

Oh Toffee is currently about 5 months old (the last I brought him to a local trainer, he mentioned my pup looks a month younger than he really is, so I'm kinda confused if it's 4 or 5 months)

How old is Theo? :P

Awww, Toffee is still in the puppy stage. Lucky! Theo is 8 months old and he's full on teenager at the moment.
