Husband just called to tell me that our puppy is one darn smart dog. Apparently before he took Theo out for their walk he accidentally put on his work shoes rather than his athletic shoes. Theo responded to this buy going to sit by the garage door rather than the front door. Husband takes him to work every morning, so Theo is used to the work shoes meaning a trip to doggy daycare. When Husband called him to go outside he said Theo looked really confused.
Another time a couple of weeks ago I was opening the door to take Theo for a walk when he suddenly ran back to the stairs (where we're keeping his leash temporarily). I kept calling him outside, but he wouldn't go. I finally walked back in to see what he was doing and when I got close enough Theo started nudging his leash. I had forgotten it!!! (Something I do way too often.) I guess he got tired of me constantly walking in and out of the house before we actually get to walk. Hehe. Good boy!
I can't believe how smart he is! Dogs definitely learn things you don't mean to teach them.
PS: Ugh, I have one more looooong day of work before I get to go home. Hopefully better posts to come soon!
St. Patty's Day Feast

I can't believe how long it's taken me to blog about the food I made during
the week of St. Patty's Day! I made such good things that week and such
good...

Dogs are creatures of habit and extremely observant.
I hear ya on the work....Hopefully after Saturday my life will clear up for a few weeks. Then bar prep begins! yay!
I've had something like this happen with my Corgi pup... I was trying to teach him to ring the bell that I attached to the door before he goes outside, but eventually gave up on it because he seemed like he didn't learn it.
A week or so later, he's roaming around on the main floor and I'm just doing the dishes... suddenly, I hear a bell ring. I look up and my puppy is at the door, nudging at the bell with his nose and looking at me. I opened the door to let him out, and he sprints out, does his "business" and sprints back in!
Corgis are smart, no doubt about it. If only they could stop being so stubborn! :P
Ha ha, what a smart boy, Theo! They definitely learn things fast, whether you mean to teach them or not :)
Safe travels home!
Wow, he's so smart! Corgis are just brilliant when it comes to observation!
they are so set in their routines; its so funny sometimes; I don't need a watch to tell when my hubby is due home from work; our corgi is waiting by the door around the same time every single day
they are soo cute!!
betty
Hehe, thanks for sharing your stories too! I love what I call Theo's Theo-isms. :D
