Yesterday I was about 10 seconds from dropping Theo into the tub and dousing him with water when I realized I had used up the last of his shampoo the last bath and had negelected to buy more. He was literally dangling over the tub. Phew! I almost had to deal with a wet, dirty dog!
And a heath tip you all probably already know, but never use human shampoo on a dog. That was Husband's suggestion when I told him Theo's bath would have to wait another week. I set him straight.

LOL; I can imagine Theo dangling just about ready to be dropped into the tub. he was spared for another week :)
betty
haha, I think I still would've dropped him in w/o the shampoo :)
Baby shampoo is actually ok to use on dogs according to my vet. Often times, the Johnson and Johnson No Tears Baby Shampoo is cheaper than the pet store's version and they pretty much have the same ingredients (though the pet store version seems to add tons of "scent" to theirs).
Kelly, I didn't relish the thought of a wet and dirty dog. Hehe. The water seems to just enhance the smell!
Akshay, I don't have a baby (unless you count Theo and Husband... sometimes I do....), so I didn't have baby shampoo either. That's a good tip to keep in mind for next time though! I tend to go for the more natural doggy shampoos.
PS: can you believe Theo was ever that small? That picture is from his first bath!
A dangling dog? that isn't good. I always have the shampoo on hand...but invaribly drop it at some point. I use this yummy oatmeal stuff that smells SO good. Chelsea whimpers and cries when I bathe her.

I gave my 4 year old corgi, Kady a bath today, which I do not do regularly. She let me know she did not like that one bit while on the other hand my 14 week old golden retriever loved his!
Your puppy is a cutie! :0)
