Another New Class

Theo started his intermediate obedience training class last night. It is so nice to finally be at the next level with Theo. After 2 puppy courses and 2 beginner courses, we've been doing the basics for months. We were both ready to move on to harder stuff, and it was a lot of fun! It's nice to be challenged again.

At the end of this course Theo will be tested for his Canine Good Citizenship. I'm really excited for Theo to get his CGC because for me it's something tangible to show for months and months of obedience classes. Yes, an obedient dog is tangible...but I want a certificate darn it! I asked the trainer how many dogs pass who take the test, generally. She said every single one of them. There's hope for Theo yet!

Wow! I can't wait to see your certificate! I'll have to show it to Lucy and maybe she'll start behaving :p

Haha! I'm trying not to count my chickens before they hatch. ;)

But if Theo does get a certificate, I'll have to show it to him and hope he starts behaving! LOL!

Oh, that's a great idea Ivy! I will do a nice long post on what the test consists of on paper, and what it's like in person.

I hear that while the test on paper sounds stringent, they're actually pretty lenient and give you a bunch of tries to get it right. But I'm still nervous about certain aspects of the test. We'll see how it goes!
