Rained Out Again

Last weekend me and some other Corgi owners in the area attempted another mini meetup.  It was fun for about 40 minutes, until it started raining.  Why does it always rain when we see Philip?  Speaking of Philip, he and a puggle decided they were soul mates and did nothing but play together for a good twenty minutes.
When the puggle's owner went to leave, Philip was not happy.  There may have been jumping involved when the owner picked his puggle up.  Seeing a hopping Corgi is definitely a site.

Theo, ever the beggar while Sidney demonstrated his awesome "treat on the nose" trick.  He is so smart!  Theo is smart in his own way.  He managed to finagle quite a few treats from Sidney's mom.  Look at that begging position?  This is what I have to deal with every day.  I love it though.

Exhibit A of why you shouldn't bring food to a dog park.  Corgis aren't the only food mongers of the dog kind.  Hehe.  For some reason I love Theo's butt in this picture.  That ghetto booty's got attitude!

We had lunch with Mouth and Philip's owner afterwards.  I had a lot of fun (though it was a tad soggy, hehe).  Philip is so great.  I had a blast giving him lots of love.  Now if only we can get together without it raining...

Aside: A lot of people have been commenting on Theo's weight, saying how skinny he looks.  It's true, over the last few weeks he got really skinny.  We didn't reduce his food at all, in fact we increased it when he started to lose weight.  I'm guessing it was a combination of losing his puppy fat, playing more at doggy daycare, and running in the mornings.  Whatever the cause, his new figure is quite svelte!

Hey Theo! So ya playing wit da puggle eh? Yeah, we are cool dogs. Let Philip know if he ever wants to get his new puggle pal a gift he can go to my store, www.cafepress.com/mrpuggle and pick out something cool. There is still time for Christmas delivery.

If your people send me a high resolution picture of you, I can make a store for you too. :) Then your people can get cool stuff with your picture on it.

Nice meeting ya. Hope you get everything you want for Christmas. Mr. Puggle

PS. This one is my favorite;

Maybe Theo is going through adolescence ;) It reminds me how some boys back in high school come back all lean and lanky after one summer :) I'd say that's probably the last problem any corgi owner need to worry about (I wish we have that problem!) :D

you are so right about not bringing food to the dog park! hubby thought it would e a good idea to pinic IN the dog park...in the summer...i was walking along to a bench and a big dog totally came out of nowhere and smacked into the back of my legs. i went flying off my feet, flat on my face, whump!! i bruised my boobs! i was not a happy camper, i ate in the car.
hugs,

Dog food, OR toys... never fly at our dog park. I unwittingly started a couple mini-fights at our NYC dog park last fall when I would bring a squeeky tennis ball.

Don't worry, honey, all my pups (and even I in my young pictures) were "lanky looking" as my Mom puts it when we were "teenagers." Just watch, Theo will muscle up in the next few months, and then, if you aren't careful, he will end up a little on the "chunky" side as he gets older... We are just too cute not to feed when we beg!!!

My Daughter's Master loves Dott's "Corgi Tail" too and takes photos all the time. I'll have to go through the rest of your blog entries soon... (It's 2 a.m. here, so got to get Mom and make her go to bed..."
